Yesterday I decided I would make my momma's Key Lime Pie for my grandfather and great uncle.  I've never attempted them so yesterday was the day.  

Plus, I've been off sweets & cokes (FINE...few slip-ups/give-ins) but this was a great excuse to have a bite of pie!  Here's how it worked out...

Luckly I had a ton of cookies...my grandfather likes those just as well!

You forget how nice 'home' is.

The last few times I've been 'home' its been for an occasion and I am packed with things to do and people to see.  While its fun, it sometimes is a bit overwhelming for me.  

This time I'm home for a little visit and some sun.  I  just snuck in and didn't really tell anyone I was coming.  

I've been cooking, laying out, hanging with my moms dog and having a few visits with my grandfather.  

Funny how I've noticed every home, how thick the air is, how green it is and how much I love the water.  

When you live somewhere it really is hard to be in the moment and realize the beauty of a place like home.

I hate hangers.

I really really hate them.

I have ones like this.

FYI:  They break if you step on them.

I CANNOT STAND hangers like this.

These are annoying because everything slips off of them.

denver is just cool

Denver & it's people are just cool. 

I dont even know how to explain how cool this place is.

The city is beautiful.

The suburbs are peaceful.

The open space an hour away is a blessing.

The people are creative, open, interesting, intelligent.

I always wonder about the older generation in Denver. 

How much this city must have changed over the years.

But something makes me think the spirit is the same.

If you ever can spend some time here I highly recommend it.
